Request a mammogram appointment

Our online Request an Appointment feature is for patients who have a signed physician's order and would like to schedule a future appointment. This feature is not intended for same-day appointments.

Screening mammogram appointments do not require a physician’s order. All other appointments require a physician's order.

About our center

At the Novant Health Breast Center, which is located in the medical tower adjacent to Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center, we know how busy life can be for you. That’s why we want to keep things simple when it comes to your breast health. We offer walk-in mammograms – a service provided by a staff of all-female technicians so that you also feel at ease.

To schedule a mammogram or to learn more about the Novant Health Breast Center, call 704-384-SCAN (7226) or click here for our on-line form.

Novant Health Breast Center also offers 3-D mammography, also called tomosynthesis, which provides advanced imaging that can be examined for detection of even the smallest potential breast cancer. Increased precision means less anxiety and fewer follow-up procedures.

In addition to 3-D mammography, we offer some of the best available breast cancer technologies and services including:

  • Cyst Aspiration/Fine Needle Aspiration
  • Stereotactically Guided Breast Core Biopsy
  • Ultrasound Guided Breast Core Biopsy
  • Ductogram
  • Needle Loc, Sentinel Node injection

Financial navigator

We can help you calculate your covered and non-covered expense.

Novant Health Imaging offers the services of a “financial navigator” to patients who need help estimating their insurance-covered and out-of-pocket expenses for imaging services.

Accessing the services is quick and convenient. One of our financial navigators will ask you about your insurance and the medical procedure in question – then provide you with an estimate of the procedure’s cost.

Call 336-277-7299 or toll-free 1-888-277-3901, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Voicemail is available for after-hours or weekend calls.

Our radiologist partners

At Mecklenburg Radiology Associates we approach every case as if we were treating a member of our own family. This is our standard of care.

By monitoring your health over time, your doctor can learn more information about your health and detect signs of disease at their earliest – and most treatable – stages. Please discuss these screenings with your doctor. To make an appointment, please call 704-210-7762.

Fine needle aspiration of the breast is a procedure that is performed using a needle to draw out a small amount of cells or fluid from the breast. The area of concern is anesthetized before the procedure, with very little discomfort involved. It generally leaves no scar and is considered a simple office procedure, performed using ultrasound guidance.
