Osteoporosis Screening

What is an osteoporosis screening?

This is a painless test to check the density of a patient's bones, and therefore evaluate how strong or weak the bones may be. The bone density may be measured at the spine, the hip or other bones, by performing a simple scan of the area. A radiologist will review the images and send a report to the patient's health care provider.
